NEW for 2022-2023: Applications for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), which provides free or reduced meals to qualifying families, are now a part of online student enrollment. This program gives many families the opportunity to qualify not only for free/reduced meals but also free/reduced student fees and all families are encouraged to complete the application. Returning Students

Returning student enrollment is open in Skyward. Important reminders:

• Online enrollment must be completed on a desktop/laptop computer. 
•  Fees are due by the first day of school, but do not need to be paid to complete the enrollment forms.
•  All families are encouraged to complete the application for free or reduced lunch and meals (click here for instructions). 
•  Returning families will be required to provide a current utility bill (gas, water or electric) to verify residency. This can be uploaded into Skyward or emailed to the building registrar.
•  If you cannot log into Skyward or cannot complete enrollment online, please contact your child’s school by phone. 
•  Your child's enrollment won't be finalized until residency has been verified and ALL forms are completed.

New Student Enrollment (Kindergarten & Grades 1-12)

Families with students entering kindergarten or students who are NEW to the district should attend enrollment at the school their child will attend. On-site enrollment sessions will be held Wednesday, August 3rd from 1 - 8 PM and Thursday, August 4th from 8 AM - 12 PM at all school buildings. Please note school offices will not be open prior to these enrollment dates.

The following documents will be required before the first day of school:

•  Identity of Student (original birth certificate or passport) - a copy can be included with the enrollment packet or a scanned copy/photo can be uploaded to the Skyward Parent Portal.
•  Health/Immunization Records (students cannot start school without immunizations and a doctor's physical exam record on file) - these should be dropped off at the school with the enrollment packet or emailed.
•  Proof of Residency (a recent utility bill - gas, electric or water) - a copy can be included with the enrollment packet or a scanned copy/photo can be uploaded to the Skyward Parent Portal.
•  Record Request Form.

Transfer Students

At this time, USD 204 does not allow for out of district enrollment. Students must reside within the district boundaries, a map for the district and elementary school boundaries can be found here. 

Part-Time Students 

Part-time students may enroll with the Superintendent's permission if they complete all paperwork in a timely fashion and are in attendance no later than September 18th. Part-time students may be admitted only to the extent that staff, facilities, equipment, and supplies are available and students follow the district's student conduct policies and rules. 

School Supplies

School supply lists are available here. Please note the high school does not generate a supply list as the necessary supplies vary by class. Students will learn more about what may be needed at the start of the school year. 

As in years past, several local organizations have made supply donations and will be organizing drives to support our students and families. The district will host a Braves Back to School event on Saturday, August 6th from 10 AM - 12 PM in the district PE Center (between Bonner Springs High School and Clark Middle School). This event will be open to all district families and we will distribute donated items and resources (while supplies last).
